Title: LS220D Backup to Remote LS220D
Post by: TMHC on August 05, 2017, 04:39:57 PM
Hi,

Looking for help, I am trying to set up a back up between a LS220D in lone location and another LS220D in a different town.

I was able to do remote backup in the past between a LS220D and a LS-XL-OTL but I'm finding this one difficult to set up. Do I need to use Webaccess to set it up ?

Any help greatly appreciated

Graeme

Make sure you download and apply the latest firmware for both units. You should be able to use the same steps as in this KB aritcle: http://www.buffalotech.com/knowledge-base/configuring-replication-between-terastation-units-on-different-subnets (http://www.buffalotech.com/knowledge-base/configuring-replication-between-terastation-units-on-different-subnets).

Make sure you set a backup password to keep your data more secure.
