Title: LS220DE Raid rebuild error
Post by: mtiernan on August 01, 2017, 06:11:01 AM
I have a new LS220DE that I've just set up. Works fine it seems. Updated firmware to latest {LS220DE (LS220DE274) Version 1.66-0.01} without any issues.

Using two 1TB WD Caviar black drives in RAID 1 configuration I've set up a share and performed some read/writes to confirm things are as they seem to be.

To test the process of restoring after a failure, (Would rather do it now then when I've got ~999GB hanging in the balance) I pulled a drive as a simulation of a drive failure.

All works as expected. Up to this point.

Now, following instructions, I put a different drive (same type) in as the replacement. I get all the way to the part where I choose the button "Recover RAID Array", enter the confirmation and after a short pause am presented with an error stating "The parameters for the specified method are invalid."

Anyone else dealt with this? I'm going to rebuild from scratch, and repeat the sequence then pull the primary drive and put it on one of my Linux systems to look for the log to identify what happened. In the mean time, I thought I'd check here.
