Title: LS421DE - drive replacement, broken?
Post by: devilkin on July 02, 2017, 12:16:06 PM
I've got an LS421-DE - I had to replace the drives (storage shortage), put two clean ones in, but the only thing I get is the dreaded E07 - 7 flashes red, nothing else. Doesn't show up in NasNavigator 2.

Meanwhile got it to TFTP boot (download latest firmware, stick images in tftp server as <file name>.buffalo, I see that it requests them, but now It's just sitting there, white light flashing, but nothing else.

Cleaned the new disks (diskpart clean) just to make sure.

anyone any idea? I honestly never thought I'd brick this by just replacing the disks. I have several Synology NAS' that survive this just fine.
