Title: Backup - Unable to Configure
Post by: adlcsllc on June 09, 2017, 12:10:06 PM
Hello Everyone,

Looking for a little help with a Link Station 2200D.  I am trying to setup a backup to a USB connected HD.  This will be my disaster recovery copy of the data.  I have used a third party tool to format the drive as FAT32 which has bypassed all the permission issues I was encountering when formatted as NTFS (which Buffalo does not support and should!)/exfat.   I can see the drive and have created a folder called backup where I would like the files to be copied.  Problem is as follows:

I create a new backup job and indicate the desired folder for backup and then choose the USB Drive as the destination and the following occurs:

1.  I am unable to see the folder I created (OK, so I just choose the drive itself and check the box to create a backup folder).
2.  When I try to save the Backup Job I receive an error message as follows:  "Specified folder cannot be found."

I also have a second NAS - LS-WTGL/R1-v3 and was able to setup a backup with no issues.  What is it with this new model?

This is infuriating!!  Can someone please provide some guidance.

Thank you!
