Title: TeraStation Emergency Mode
Post by: swren on June 06, 2017, 11:25:36 AM
I have a TS3400D that had a failed drive.  Before I removed the drive, I ran a firmware update.  The update didn't complete, and the machine went into emergency mode.  I downloaded the firmware installer and connected the machine to my desktop.  When I disconnect the TeraStation from our network, it changes its IP back to a default and changes our subnet from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.0.0.  Updater instructions say that the subnet must match, so I just changed the subnet on my desktop to match.  It sill won't update.  Gives me the same error to make sure it's on the same subnet and to disable the firewall (which is).
