Title: Domain membership--anyone have luck with trusted domains?
Post by: gman42 on June 01, 2017, 11:36:00 AM
I have a TS5400R that I've successfully joined to the local domain we have set up at our datacenter, and it's working fine with assigning permissions to users/groups from that domain.

The one problem is that we also have a trust set up where this domain trusts our corporate domain here, and we have groups in the datacenter's domain that contain accounts from corporate...those groups show up on the Domain Groups tab and I can select them and grant R/W access to the terastation's shares, but it seems like it's ignoring or otherwise not honoring it.

Has anybody had any luck with a similar setup?  I can understand if it's simply not supported but I thought I'd ask.

The TeraStation will only use the local domain authentication.
