Title: LS210 w7 shortcut fail
Post by: bisonbuffalo on May 31, 2017, 06:28:11 PM
Hello: is there a fix for w7(pro) shortcut failure? The shortcuts on the taskbar no longer access my 2 y.o. (1 mo. out of warranty)  LS210DDBE 2T, cat5e to home NW via switch. The connection has worked simply & flawlessly since that install, w/shortcuts going right to the drive. The shortcuts now default to my user/docs folder on the internal HD in the pc.
-I can connect to LS210, but only after connecting/logging on via Buffalo's NAS navigator. And after that, the shortcuts magically connect to LS210 as before -- until I reboot when it's back to user/docs.
-I've reinstalled the shortcuts. Doesn't matter, same problem.
-It's only on the w7pro side of this bootcamped mac, the LS210 is seen as always & shows files in it fine, via its desktop aliases in mac sierra.
-?? I don't know if this is related to the major fixes MS did recently to combat the ransomware threats making news, but I can't think of any other reason for this failure. I don't particularly want to do a system restore (to...when?).
Thanks.
