Title: Opening HD-LC3.OU3 Housing
Post by: bluesix on May 08, 2017, 07:31:06 PM
I have 2 HD-LC3.OU3 drives that run very hot (above 60c) and are either inaccessible or limited and very slow.  Tried to run seatools diagnostic but it doesn't recognize it as a seagate drive though crystaldiskinfo is showing it is as such.

Chkdsk turns up negative for errors.

Last resort is to open the housing and plug it directly into a sata cable.

There are no pins,  hardly any seams,   any ideas on how to open this model? there are no answers on the internet which I find strange.
