Title: LinkStation Pro Quad die, move HDD into new one?
Post by: alexk0403 on April 20, 2017, 09:03:14 AM
Old LS-QVL/E LinkStation Pro Quad die.  HDDs should be OK.

If I have another working LS-QVL/E LinkStation Pro Quad, can I just move all 4 HDDs (raid 5) into the new one and retrive my data?

Found some used one on the web and hoping this can avoid the expensive data retrival cost.

Many thanks for any kind help :)

Depends, what was the issue on the 1st unit?

The 1st unit went dead, it wouldn't start.  No fan, no light.  Checked the transformer and it is working.
