Title: LS220DE Firmware Update
Post by: eddie20850 on March 07, 2017, 05:54:33 PM
Mine fails every time, so I went to the Buffalo site and downloaded 2 firmware updates.  How can I get them onto the drive, which is full, the 2TB Raid 1 set up here.  I do have a drive attached as an external from the back of the Buffalo.  Could that be affecting my firmware update?  Thanks

the update that's downloaded should be an executable run from a computer attached to the network, it doesn't need to be copied to the LinkStation.

Also, if the Linkstation is full then it will not be able to update the firmware. You need to free up space.

I just needed to open the proper file, all updated now.  Thanks.  I actually didn't have to remove anything.  May not be completely full.
