Title: LS441DE Initialize
Post by: cmosley119@gmail.com on March 01, 2017, 04:46:30 PM
I just purchased the LS441DE and I installed 4 1.5TB drives. I cannot get the unit to initialize the four disks. I can take two out and it will initialize any of the four as long as I only have two installed. Any ideas?

Update: I have finally figured out that one of my disks is bad. I have ordered the replacement and will notify you of the results.

OK.I finally received the identical drive that is new. I cannot get the NAS to accept it. If I press the function button while holding the power button, both lights flash indefinitely. If I press the power button, that light will flash indefinitely. This is a brand new drive. Firmware is up to date.

ANY and ALL help is greatly appreciated. I know the store has a great return policy, but I would much rather get this working.
