Title: Linkstation Live 3TB - Failed Flash
Post by: tk007b on February 16, 2017, 05:32:51 AM
Hi there,

I have a Mo04 3TB Linkstation that was in EM mode (not sure why it was in that mode as it was left off for ages)
Anyway, after reading some help topics, I decided to re-flash it. Navigator 2 found it in EM mode and LS updater tried to flash it.
The problem is that part way through the flash process, a message come up to say that it could not see the device and now I cannot find it using Navigator 2 at all.

Is it recoverable ?

Is there anything I can try ?

Many thanks

TK

If the LED is flashing then it will be in a pattern, a number of flashes, pause, a number of flashes and continuously repeated. How many times does it flash?

Hi Davo,

Thanks for your reply. I've figured out what the problem is, the HDD has completely died. It was on it's way out when I tried to flash it, so I need to replace it before going any further. The device itself belongs to a mate, so will see what he wants to do before spending more time on it.

Cheers
