Title: Remote Sync
Post by: rabjac on February 07, 2017, 08:19:01 AM
I have just recently purchased a Synology DS416play NAS to augment my current (and old) LinkStation LS-GL9D9. The synology has the facility to setup what they call a remote folder sync which automatically synchronises between the Synology and what it is connecting to. I have tried to connect using this method to the LinkStation, but the connection always fails. I can however remote mount the LinkStation's shared folders on the Synology and manually copy between the two.

Is it possible to setup sync capabilities on the LinkStation? If so how do I achieve this?

Regards,
Robert.

Yeah, it works fine on my Synology 215j to a Linkstation, just make sure that "disk backup" is ticked on the Linkstations shared folder so the synology can see if as a backup target in hyper backup.
