Title: hd-CEU2 issues
Post by: Bmaster1b on June 20, 2009, 01:31:12 AM

Well, vive had this drive (1 T/B drive) for about 4 months now. The first month, the drive worked very vive well. Exceeded all my expectations and was fast. going into month two, i started having some issues. I was able to access some media but not others. i was able to pull data off the drive but i couldn't put new data on the drive. i stopped using it for a couple of months and just recently decided to try and fix it. well i was able to retrieve all my information off of it except for about 10 to 15 files which the drive corrupted.

I am in the process of reformatting it but to no luck. its stuck on 15% and not moving. am i doing something wrong?

The drive works great when you first power it up, then about 5 to 10 minutes in, it will freeze up and i am required to pull the plug and restart it. again, another 5 to 10 minutes pass and it freezes up again. This is very inconvenient for me due to the fact that i dont have 1 t/b of hard drive space on my computer. any suggestions on what i should do? i have the whole h/d enclosure on a fan table top fan, so i know its not over heating.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It is hard to tell it could be power irregularities or the HDD could have gone bad.  I would call into support for active support and possibly a replacement (assuming units within warranty)
