Title: LS210D0301 not responding
Post by: buffowner1972 on January 04, 2017, 10:24:28 AM
my trusty NAS stopped working about a month ago.  Reset multiple times, no luck. I can ping it but not do anything else.   NAS Navigator2 does not see it.  I tried to reset to factory defaults but it isn't working. It just keeps blinking a white light.

Any suggestions?

Is the data needed? If not then remove the disk, format it and load the TFTP image again.

i can ping the box.
it is listening on tcp ports 873 and 8873 (rsync?)
i can't see it in Navigator
it seems to be rejecting (like a firewall was running??) all my port scan attempts except for the 2 open ports.

On to plan B.. i have a spare laptop and a hard drive adapter for USB.  i've used it before, works nice.  I want to try to recover some data then do a wipe  i need to get to the drive inside the case, anyone point me to instructions on opening the plastic case without totally destroying it? i'd like to reassemble and use again.
