Title: LS-WVL/R1 Series how to retrieve data
Post by: peaveyyyy on December 14, 2016, 04:58:59 AM
Hi

I am getting this from my LinkStation:

Error:
E14: Cannot mount RAID array 1. (2016/12/14 17:09:47)
E30: Drive 2 error. Replace the drive immediately! (2016/12/14 17:08:25)
Status:
I11: Drive 2 has too many bad sectors. (2016/12/14 17:08:43)

Do I simply replace the drive 2 and then it all works again?

You left the unit in RAID0 and a disk has failed, you cannot rebuild the RAID as the RAID no longer exists.

I hope you had a backup as your data is gone.

Thanks for the reply.

How can you tell it was in Raid0?

Because of the errors you have, if you had RAID1 then you wouldn't have E14.
