Title: Access restrictions for macbook
Post by: andysyfc on November 30, 2016, 05:05:39 AM
Hi,

We are using a Linkstation Duo in our office and have it set up working fine with macbooks. I'm trying to set up a restricted folder, but the manual suggests this is designed to integrate with Windows.

Are there instructions for setting up access restrictions that integrate into OS?

Thanks,

Andy

It's for Mac as well. Just login to the Buffalo Linkstation web server interface and create a new share (folder) with a new user that has a password.

Thanks for the reply. I have done that, but then when trying to access the folder OS doesn't give an option to log in with username and password, it just displays a "you don't have permission" message.
