Title: Need to reset password on TS5400R
Post by: hiltonmagk on November 16, 2016, 03:10:01 PM
I'm not sure what happened but somehow the password changed and not I can't get in.  I don't have the USB reset key.  I tried booting into Ramboot but I don't get anything on the screen that indicates EM mode, just asks for a username and password that I don't have.  I edited the TSUpdater.ini with VersionCheck = 0, NoFormating = 0, and added Debug = 0 under a [SpecialFlags] section.  When I run the TSUdater for version 3.42 I don't have a Debug option when I right click the title bar.  I understand those instructions are old but they are all I could find.  Firmware version of my TS right now is 2.82-0.01.

I can still access the data on the TS just can't login to update the firmware.  So I could backup the data on it, but it's just used as backup storage anyway.
