The same Backup is being used.
It started when I noticed the system reported a scheduled backup (which had been working fine) failed.
I ran the (same) backup manually 'Immediately', and it succeeded.
I changed it back to Scheduled and it failed.
I ran it again immediately and it succeeded.
???
Is there any more info that might help you help me diagnose this curious phenomenon?
At least the immediate backup succeeds which is better than it not working at all, but naturally want to get the scheduled backup working again
The backup is a TS3400D (selected Directories) to another TS3400D backup Directory.
are you creating a backup log?
No, that is I cannot. If I check the Create Log File Tick Box, it displays the message "if the backup source is another LinkStation or TeraStation, no log file will be created."
It is (another TeraStation), so it isn't (log file created).
It will often create the file anyway. Try it out and see if you get a log file.
I tried that and it did indeed create Backup Logs.
It also succeeded with the Backup. However, it has done that in the past, and then gone on to fail. So we will monitor and return here if that should happen.
