Title: LS Live - NasNavigator2 probs
Post by: TheQuester on September 16, 2016, 10:54:39 PM
Model LS-XL.0TL:  (I'm not a techie ;))  Updated firmware. Looked good. In NAS Navigator2, I clicked on Info>English>NasNavi2>Windows>nasnavi-266.exe **but now** I then I had an Asian (Japanese?) language interface ('tho it had been English, the correct language for me, after firmware update BEFORE I clicked as above.  And, while trying to figure this out, now--'tho I can see my mapped NAS--I cannot open Navigator.  Error message "Failed to load NasNavi2Res.dll" ... Any suggestions?  Thanks!
[BTW, I did read in "Storage FAQ: General Q&A" ...   "Q: "Is your unit in another language and you do not know how to change it back?," but I think I've now past this point if the answer therein is referring to Navigator software which now won't even open for me.]

Poster returns... Perhaps no longer an issue(s).  I reinstalled NASnavigator2 and I won't touch the icon it contains entitled "Info" (which had led to switching the interface from English to (apparently) Japanese.  Since I subsequently couldn't even load Navi2, that's why I tried reinstalling same... Apparently this will work... The icon had been orange-colored thing and now is a familiar-looking white-bordered black symbol.  Firmware version is 1.71 ... not sure if that is the up-to-date one for this relatively old NAS.  Still open to any "tips" anyone might care to share (e.g., re using my drive or learning on this forum).
