Title: Restore firmware on LS-WXL
Post by: mphendry on July 19, 2016, 10:40:58 AM
I have a LS-WXL drive and recently had a problem with drive 2. Cutting a long story short, and not simply replacing drive 2, I am in a situation of the red flashing six times.

I believe I have tried to reinitialise and format the drives, but I now believe the erase function of NAS Navigator wipes my firmware too.

I have purchased a replacement drive, identical to the faulty original one. Both the drives have been 'CLEAN'ed using windows Diskpark so there should be no partitions whatsoever.

Any advise as to how I can connect to the drive and hopefully reinstall the system firmware?

Many thanks

Thanks for your PM.

Do you think you will be able to assist? I already have the drive connected to my laptop via ethernet and have set my ip to 192.168.11.1. When I run TFTP (which shows listening on 192.168.11.1) it never progresses further than 'accepting requests..'
