Title: NAS Sync over VPN
Post by: wbolt on July 15, 2016, 03:02:03 PM
I have two Tera stations, each on a different network.  I have a standard VPN between the networks and I can see all other devices on the networks.  My Tera stations are 192.168.2.11, and the other network is 192.168.3.11.  On the 2.x network I'm unable to access through HTTP, or ping the 3.11 Tara station, and 3.x network I'm unable to ping or access the .2.11 Tara station.  So are the Tara stations able to talk over a standard VPN tunnel?

This should work:

http://buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/faqs/configuring-replication-between-terastation-units-on-different-subnets (http://buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/faqs/configuring-replication-between-terastation-units-on-different-subnets)

With VPN you shouldn't have to do the port forwarding.
