Title: Whether Oracle datafiles running on Redhat linux can be stored ?

I have purchased "DriveStation USB 2.0 External Hard Disk with TurboUSB"

 

Please help me to know; whether Oracle datafiles which is running on Redhat linux AS4 (ext3 filesystem)  can be stored on the same.

Im not sure why it wouldn't be able to, it will act as a normal drive just using USB.

 

If your talking about using Oracle's backup utility, then I cannot guarantee that will work but it should be able to as long as it can backup to USB drives.

 

Make sure that you format the drive to a supported filesystem.
