Title: Web Access configuration for a 2-router network
Post by: plupariello on July 01, 2016, 11:16:09 AM
I replaced my Seagate Central with the Buffalo LinkStation LS220DE and am trying to configure it successfully for web access. The NAS is connected to my home router which is in turn connected to my Uverse Gateway router (internet service). It is the same setup I had with Seagate and it worked fine (and with little configuration). I went through the setup process of activating Web Access, registering with buffalonas.com, but I can't seem to connect to the NAS from outside my home network. Any suggestions?

You have to enable port forwarding on your router.  See http://buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/faqs/configuring-port-forwarding-on-a-buffalo-airstation
