I have a Buffalo LinkStation Pro, LS-500GL connected as a backup storage device on a LAN that also connects with three computers. I use NAS Navigator, version 1.0, as the control utility for the Buffalo. I use Memeo AutoBackup, version 2.00.1451, on each computer to control continuous file monitoring and backup. I have enabled Memeo Auto Delete on all three systems assuming that this function would minimize backup storage requirement.
Memeo reports that the combined size of all files backed up is 117.7 GB. However, NAS Navigator reports that the Buffalo is 100% full at 464.7 GB. Consequently Memeo reports that it is unable to backup files.
I find no options in either system, NAS Navigator or Memeo, that allow me to compare and delete files on the Buffalo that no longer exist on the three computers. I assumed that Memeo Auto Delete performed this function, but apparently it does not. Does anybody have a solution or suggestion?
Thank you
Thank you for your reply. That is what I am doing currently, but it is quite time-consuming with three computers sharing one 500GB drive that has become full.
Is there a backup application, automatic or otherwise, that is supported or recommended by Buffalo? NAS Navigator, delivered with the LS-500GL, does not appear to have that capability.
Thank you
