Title: replacing the drives in a linkstation Pro Duo 1tb
Post by: cullyman on June 12, 2009, 05:58:23 AM

I am trying to replace the 2x500gb drives in my LS duo 1tb with 2x1tb drives.

Can this be done?

When I put in the new drives I cannot access the LS through NASnavigator or through the EM boot. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I know this will void warranty on the LS but it was purchased by a customer who wanted 1tb of storage with raid1.

It's possible, however this is a gray area of voiding the warranty that we do not advise on normally. What I can say is if you upgrade the HDDs that you will need to attempt a TFTP boot and firmware update thereafter.
