Post by: MatthewJones on April 08, 2016, 11:32:48 AM
How can I get this wiped??
If I try to format it says it is read only.
I need this badly.

Thank you...

That unit does indeed offer built in encryption. The software can be installed from the read-only drive it is mounted that will allow you to reset the unit. If you don't have the password or NFC card that originally came with the drive you won't be able to decrypt it and read the data currently on the drive, but you can reset it to be an unencrypted blank drive. If it was given to you, talk to the person you got it from about getting the card that came with it.
