Model LS441, firmware 1.81-0.03
It appears that a backup log is created within each share that is backed up on the NAS each time a backup is performed and also within the back-up "folder" stored as the back-up. This is to be expected, but in trying different back-up hardware and processes, I have created a number of back-up logs that I no longer need and which appear be interfering with setting up overwrite backups correctly.
The function of the logs is not clear to me but I assume the logs are used by the NAS to direct subsequent backups done as part of a single backup "job".
If I delete a backup "job" can I safely delete the related backup logs from the within the shares?
What would happen if I deleted the log of a backup job I do want to keep and reuse?
