I have a LinkStation 420D and have been trying to stream music over the internet while away from home.  WebAccess works, however it won't play FLAC file or many other file formats.  Also, it is the worst music app I have ever used since it doesn't support any playlists, shuffle, etc.  You can simply play files from one folder and that's it. 

I am trying to figure out the best way to stream music while away from home and have the all the functionality of a typical music player.  Are there any other Apps out there that can do this?  I am been looking at DAAP and some others, but no luck so far getting anything to work.  It is extremely frustrating that the WebAccess App doesn't have the basic functionality of other media players and there have been no updates to make it more functional. 

Any help would be much appreciated, since between this issue and my issue with folder permissions that 3 calls to the arrogant and condescending tech support hasn't fixed has me wishing I would have bought a Synology.

This was one of the major reasons for buying a NAS and not having the functionality I expected is extremely frustrating.  Plus the lack of any information about it is surprising.  I can't be the only person that is having this issue.

This is pretty much the customer service I have come to know and love from Buffalo - complete silence.  It looks to me like ES File Explorer may be the way to go but I still don't know how to set it up.  Could it be I need to deal with a Static IP address and port forwarding and then the ES File Explorer will work?  Any help any anybody would be much appreciated.
