Title: Recovering LS-WXL
Post by: Chudz on January 28, 2016, 01:39:48 PM
Hello, I am having some issues with recovering a LS-WXL.

First I changed my IP to 192.128.11.1 and Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0.

Second I created a TFTP recovery using the latest firmware 1.71. I did this by extracting initrd.buffalo & uImage.buffalo and I used tftpd32 to push these onto the LS-WXL. All went well and the blue light stopped flashing and went solid blue.

Now I loaded up the Firmware Updater software to partition it etc I enabled debug and ticked the correct boxes. Then I press update and it fails straight away and says to check network setting and subnet even though its finding the NAS and it is also showing up in Nas Navigator 2. However it is showing with a different IP & Subnet Mask (IP: 169.254.58.61 Subnet: 255.255.0.0)

I then tried to change my network so that my computer was on same Subnet Mask and my IP to: 169.254.58.1. But now it not showing up at all in the firmware updater or the Nas Navigator 2.

Any ideas where I go from here?

Thanks

For anyone else with this issue, I managed to fix it by restarting the Firmware Updater program after I changed my IP and Subnet Mask. :)
