Title: unable to connect to linksStation via USB or network
Post by: jencam on January 07, 2016, 03:08:42 PM
I have LS-Q6.0TL/R5 buffalo

I powered it up and plug the usb cable in. no luck , windows 7 pro doesn't see that something plugged in.
I plugged it in via network cable navigation software unable to find it. I am assuming , previous user did not set the IP address to DHCP. meaning the device is on different IP set then my network.

so, question is, is there anyway to force the unit to reset everything? including IP address and contents.

thanks in advance.

It is not a USB device so will never been seen by a USB connection on a PC.

Connect to the LAN and run the NAS Navigator software with your security software on the PC disabled. See if it can find it then, also check the LEDs on the device.

Possibly need to update the unit's firmware?  I know I had to.
