Title: Link Station 220DE HD partition and data, lost?
Post by: dan51 on December 04, 2015, 01:45:49 AM
Hi, I am really confused! I installed a 2 partition formatted and with data 500GB disk in a Buffalo Link Station LS220DE, and it seems to not see anything of that!
When seeing the "Share" icon in the browser it appears as just an empty disk, with no partitions and no data. It is just possible to make new folders and perhaps partitions! Where is all the data it contained? Can it be recovered?
What happens if I put it back in the computer where it first resided? Will the data be seen again?

Like ANY NAS on the planet, if you insert a new disk into it then it needs to format it to use it with the system, this is also mentioned in the quick setup guide. Your data is gone.
