Title: LS-VL-EM158
Post by: tgmassey33 on November 20, 2015, 07:52:58 PM
I tried to update the firmware on my drive, it failed and now I cannot access the drive. It is in "Emergency Mode", and when I try to update it I get the following error:  "Status:
I11: Drive 1 has too many bad sectors. (2015/10/20 08:02:12)
Emergency mode. Update the firmware or contact technical support. (2015/11/20 20:44:11)"
I hope I can restore the firmware and regain access to the data. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom

Bad sectors means the disk is faulty.

What would you recommend to get the NAS back online? Take out the faulty Disk then power on? Then look to replace the faulty disk?

I have exactly the same on my LS-WXL?
