I have a Buffalo NAS LS420D0402 with a bad IP address. Is it possible to change the IP address via the USB drive? If so, can you please point me in the correct direction.

You are not able to gain access to the control software? Do you have the NAS Navigator installed?
You can change the IP through the Navigator.
