Title: Buffalo LS-X2.OTL TFTP problem
Post by: R4F-105 on August 18, 2015, 05:29:50 AM
Hello!
I have a Buffalo LS-X2.OTL with damaged HDD.
1) I install a new HDD and fully read TFTP boot manual.
2) Downoladed both - TFTP_KirkwoodVariants.exe and TFTP Boot Recovery LS-XL 1.00.exe boot files.
3) IP set to 192.168.11.1
4) Run first TFTP Boot Recovery LS-XL, and power unit... And nothing happens.
5) Then run TFTP_KirkwoodVariants.exe and also power the unit, and i can saw that 2 files were loaded.

Attention!
After this HDD rebooted, and boot loader again sent to unit 2 files, and e.t.c.
Rebooting multiple times and non stopped while i pulled out a power cord.

I tried several times but i can`t catch stable work of HDD, and start update software like LSUpdater.

Please give me any advice.
I tried this operation on two PC - with XP and with Windows 7 OS.
On both OS i disable AV-software anf firewall.
Also i tried safe mode with network support. I tried different LAN cables. And also i tried two different HDD.

Both HDD was fully erased with MHDD software, and i not created any partitions. And before erased, i tried create NTFS parttition, but result the same.

With OLD HDD i temporaly can power up this unit, but it works unstable.

I`m very sorry for any mistakes. English - is not native for me. I hope i wrote very correctly.

Thanks you.
