Title: restoring a LinkStation Pro Duo
Post by: lwhipps on July 27, 2015, 09:44:01 AM
Help!  We have an old LinkStation - LS-W2.OTGL/R1 - that got currupted by a "ransom" virus. We have wiped the drive clean, and we have the files backed up to MoseyPro, my question is: How do I restore the drive and reload the files.  I tried running the setup CD, but it is telling me that it is not compatible with Windows 7.  I asked Buffalo Tech Support, but they referred me to you all.  Tech support did tell me that when we wiped the drive we also wiped out the firmware, so it needs to reinstalled (?).  When I view the drive on Windows Explorer, I can see the drive - LSWTGL0A4 - if I open it I can see "Info" and "Share".  Any advice on getting this up and running would be greatly appreciated.
