Title: Buffalo LS-WVL/E - cannot update firmware 1.70
Post by: wanlotfi on June 27, 2015, 01:03:44 PM
Every time i used the NS-Navigator it will show my device in emergency mode. The system suggest for me to update firmware.

I tried to update my Linkstation to the latest firmware 1.70. I keep getting error message "Couldn't connect on TCP. Update aborted"

Any help suggestion on this matter is much appreciated. Thank you.

I've been struggling with a similar issue on a different unit. When I change my pc's address to 192.168.11.1 and connect the unit directly up in emergency mode has the unit on 192.168.11.150. Some times during the update it changes the address of the NAS and is assigned a random address. Nas Navigator seems to be able to reset the address to something I can connect to.

Did you change the third number of the IP address of the NAS box from original ?
I did and had to change it back to the default 1 to get an update to work.
