Title: Factory Reset TeraStation Pro 6 (WS-6V12TL/R5)
Post by: s.roddy on June 24, 2015, 12:46:42 PM
I need to factory reset a TeraStation Pro 6 WSS - WS-6V12TL/R5.

The units drives are all blank after attempting a firmware upgrade over the network. The unit boots and posts properly.
I know that a TFTP boot is possible yet I cannot locate the proper software to accomplish this.

Is a TFTP boot the best way to restore this to factory specs or can a bootable usb flash drive be created?

Thanks,

Shane

Yes, you need the original image to recover the unit.

You would of got a USB stick when you purchased it containing the windows OS so use that. However technically you can install an OS image onto it.

Hi s.roddy.
I have the exact same problem. Did you find a solution ? I lost the USB key and I'm stuck with a pretty expensive door stopper :s
Thank you
