Windows 7 Home Premium
Drive has been working fine up until yesterday. Boot-up and it is no longer assigned a drive letter and not even recognized: doesn't show under Computer, and shows as an unallocated drive in Disk Management. Even if I try to format it I get a device I/O error. Have tried unplugging and booting without it, then shutting down, plugging in, and rebooting. Nothing. Have tried power-off/power-on and reset. Nothing. All my backups, months worth, are on there. Would appreciate help soonest.
