Title: 2 TB NAS but only 1 TB is usable

Hello,

I have a Linkstation LS-WV2.0TL/R1
I have 2 Seagate 1 TB drives.
Within NAS Navigator 2 it shows the HDD(RAID 1)

I have access to 917.1 GB.

What do I need to do to access the other TB Drive?

Read the manual and use RAID0. But if one disk fails the data on the other disk is gone also.

Thank you,

My understanding of RAID 0 and RAID 1 was limited.

RAID 0 = 2 drives being used as one - if one fails all data is lost.

RAID 1 = 1 drive as primary and other has redundant - less chance of catastrophic loss.

RAID 1 is a mirror. All data is mirrored on both drives. If you lose one drive the data is still accessible. However, you only have the space of one drive as usable. It will still appear as a single drive as is the case with all RAID setups. If you change this to RAID 0 it will show up as one 2TB drive.
