Title: Problem with permission in TS5400DD18 (TS5400D)

Hey every one

i have this NAS module TS5400DD18 (TS5400D) Firmware Version:   2.31-1.14

and i need to make some permissions for some my users in the network

i need the folder to be Read/Write/Delete for user1
and other user can only Read

i try to make the folder restricted to the user1 but its not working its give permission for all user

and when i edit the user to make it read and write for the folder

when i make new file its say

you need permission from

Domain\user1  !!! and the issue iam already login in user1 and still ask me to have permission from user1




how to do it in proper way

how to make the folder be read/write only from user1 and other user can read only

The problem I have reading through those steps is on the User/Group access restrictions, is this line:

"/" for no restrictions.


"/" is for No Access on my 5400D

I"m having a somewhat similar issue as the OP.  I need to give a specific AD group Read/Write/Delete access.   And while you can technically delete with the Read/Write category, Office 365/ Word 2013 appears to have an issue with saving certain .Docx files, containing lots of embedded charts/etc.   If a user tries to save the exact same file to a SMB share on restrictions disabled share, it saves just fine.  But not on the Read/Write access share.
