Title: TS5400 works OK, but no Web GUI
Post by: DanL on May 07, 2015, 01:27:13 PM
I support two TS5400 that are nearly identically configured, but one device is NOT accessible via Web GUI.

I have tried forcing the firmware update to 2.82, and the firmware updated, but I still can't access the Web GUI. The network shares are working OK.

Both units are running the same Firmware 2.82, and all network shares are accessible.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks, DanL

When you attempt to open the GUI, what URL shows up in the browser address bar?

When I choose Settings to try to go into Web GUI, the web browser shows: http://192.168.134.22/root.html

You can try doing another update and see if that fixes it. Most likely you will need to back up the data and recover the OS using a USB flash drive. You can create the flash drive using this file:

http://buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/download/TS5k_recovery_281.zip

Once you have the flash drive created, follow these steps:

Browser ID: smf (is_webkit)
Templates: 1: Printpage (default).
Sub templates: 4: init, print_above, main, print_below.
