Title: Time to rebuild RAID array
Post by: RedHeadPeter on May 06, 2015, 12:01:57 PM
One of the drives failed on my Pro DUO (2 x 2TB) and having replaced it the box is now rebuilding the array.  Just over 1TB is actually used. It is taking quite a long time (about 9 hours so far) but there is no progress bar to tell you how far through the process it has got to.
Any way of estimatoing the time this will take?

If you go to the storage - raid array section it will give you the amount of time left. It will probably take 18 hours, maybe a bit more.

It actually finished shortly after I posted so I didn't get the chance to follow your suggestion. (Next time? - Hope there won't be one)

Odd thing is I have now connected the drive that was being shown having the Error via  SATA to USB3 cable to my PC and having re-partitioned it and formatted it (NTFS) t is working fine????

What formats does the Buffalo box recognise in new drives that are installed?
