Title: TS5600D Cannot Create Shared Folders
Post by: gorphus on April 30, 2015, 10:20:04 AM
I have 4 TS5600D's that I am trying to configure shares on.  I have been able to setup everything else, including local uses, through the web admin.  However I am running IE 8 on a secure network with no internet access, and security restrictions preventing installation of an updated browser (even as a domain admin), so I am stuck with IE 8.  I have also tried creating the folders through Web Access, logged in as admin, and the option to create a folder is disabled.  I even tried creating a folder through a command prompt FTP connection, and get Access Denied when I try to create a directory.  Is there any way that I can create the folders without having to have a more current browser?  I may be able to get approval for it, but it would take weeks of red tape!!

Thanks,

Jonathan

Id say you will need to cut through the red tape and use an updated browser. No other way around it. There is no root access to the unit so it cannot be done via command line either.
