I have an "old" LinkStation (1.56 (DTCP-IP:1.65-20130731)), which contains a variety of mp4 files. I can access these fine on Playstation 3 / iPhone using DLNA.

I have just bought a new LinkStation (Version 1.34-0.95 - latest bios), enabled DLNA, copied over the files from the old server - but none of these show up on the same Playstation / iPhone using DLNA ?

Confused - yep.

Can you help ?

After turning on DLNA from the "Services" menu, did you enable DLNA on the folder?

Yes - and the odd thing is that a couple of the files do show up - they have an odd name, but they do show up. They have the extension m4v - although there are others with m4v which don't.

Very confused.

Hi,

I'm having the same exact problem, so I'm not alone. Obviously your product comes with some flaws that lots of unsatisfied customers, in this case the DLNA, can you please give us once and for all solution to this problem? I bought LS421DE mainly for this purpose, and now your device don't deliver what it says it comes with!!!!

I have also read on other threads that LS421DE do not support HDD larger than 3TB? Can the administrator/moderator confirm this claims?

Are these all video files? What are the file sizes?

On another note, the 421DE has been tested with drives up to 4TB.

Yes - these are all video files.

They're the same size as they are on the old LinkStation server :)
