Title: LS-CH2.0TL 7x flashing red light ???
Post by: Davholsea on April 22, 2015, 10:30:53 AM
Hi folks, very uneducated noobie I'm afraid with a problem I'm struggling to resolve.

I have a Buffalo LS-CH2.0TL linked to my apple time capsule which I use to store all my music.

Having moved house recently I spent hours a few weeks ago moving some extra music from a folder on my mac to the LS (over my stupidly slow wifi connection)
That all seemed to go fine.

However now, having been away for a few weeks I've returned home to find that when I turn everyting on, the LS blinks blue on startup as it should, but then gives me  7x red lights, and I have NO IDEA what that means for me.

Anyone help?

Thanks in advance
Bob

Thanks for the succinct reply.

Can anyone else tell me - does that mean I should just bin it and swallow the data loss?

Do you need the data? Don't you have a backup?

No I'm a very naughty boy.

But back to my original question which still awaits an answer.
Does that mean it's bricked?

No, it means the disk is faulty, you need to replace the disk, TFTP the unit then reinstall the firmware.
