Title: iSCSI TS-RIX4.0TL/R5 Warning/Info indicator
Post by: mcampellone on April 16, 2015, 06:32:58 AM
Good morning,

This may have been addressed in another thread and if so, I would love a link to the post.  I tried using the forum search feature, and after the second search it locked me out of the search function, so I apologize ahead of time...

I have this rack-mounted iSCSI unit as external storage for my local server at my desk (I run various virtualization labs and tests before deploying to clients), and recently the amber colored "info" light on the front panel went on...  and I can find no information on how to clear this.  So far I have:

- Replaced all five drives in the unit with fresh drives
- Applied all available firmware updates, patches, etc. from Buffalo through today's date
- Factory reset the device and reconfigured/reinstalled the unit

No matter what I try, I cannot get the amber "info" light to reveal anything.  When logging on to the web interface of the unit, there are no messages or warnings and everything checks out, including firmware, updates, etc. - - has anyone else encountered this possibly, and if so what led to an eventual resolution?

I thank you very much in advance for any information / leads / pointing my way.  Have a great day,

Michael

LOL, it just means the iSCSI service is enabled.

That's it.

Disable the service via the admin page and you will see the LED go off (along with your volumes! :P)
