Title: Linkstation 441E Red Light Flashing
Post by: lightning on April 01, 2015, 07:51:44 AM
Hi all. I have a Linkstation 441E with 2 - 4TB HGST drives configured as Raid 1. On two separate occasions I have received a string of emails that say that RAID maintenance has started. Both times I received emails saying that maintenance has completed. Both times I had a red light flashing sequence after maintenance. I'm trying to figure out what that means.

I'm pretty sure that last time it was 1 long Red and 5 short Red, but I didn't look at it too closely today. The first time it happened it was powered up for 60 days. The second time it was powered up for 8 days.

Any insight you can provide of what it means and what I need to do would be greatly appreciated.

I think it was doing some type of self maintenance. There weren't any real errors reported and web interface wasn't real clear. After a couple days I got an email saying maintenance was complete. If/when it happens again I will post it so people can see the info.
