Title: [HOWTO] Completely recover a "bricked" LS200-series (and open the firmware too!)
Post by: thecosmicfrog on March 18, 2015, 06:25:40 AM
Hi all,

I recently found myself in a predicament where I'd "bricked" (term used loosely) my LinkStation LS220 NAS.

I have written a comprehensive guide on how to completely recover from a situation like this, starting with wiping the disks to TFTP Booting to flashing an open firmware with SSH, Telnet, root access, etc.

I hope this helps a few people out!

I couldn't follow this link, but figured out that there need to be "www." before the domain name for the link to work.
So use this link instead:

It's a great article, and I suggest it's made "sticky" if the forum software allows.
