Title: If teraStation crashes
Post by: mindaugas on March 10, 2015, 04:25:12 AM
If terastion crashes:

if I am using only 1 simple hdd disk WITHOUT any RAID, simple one disk, IS IT POSSIBLE to read the disk data using other devised or just to plug in the disc to PC or hdd boks using USB?

because, if the data is encrypted , it will be very difficult to read the data.

So I'am thinking, maybe to use two RAID 1 instead of one RAID 10.

If I use 2 RAID 1, I could easy take any hdd and to put/use it on any other systems, computers, easy restore after terrastion crashed, but I need to be sure, that the data is not encrypted or something similar. Of cause, if it's imposible and the data can be red and used only in terastations, I will use RAID 10.
